Transparency of Decision Making
Government should have to show its working and be open to the data that has been used to make decisions. The public should be able to review data, engage with someone and challenge:
- forecast assumptions
-poicy assumptions
-scientific research - where has it been peer reviewed, by whom
Why the contribution is important
Government is not transparent about the background workings and underlying assumptions of research and data. People have the right to know how decisions that effect them are made.
