NZ's National Action Plan 4 - 2023-2024

New Zealand’s proposed 4th Open Government Partnership National Action Plan (NAP4) 2023-2024 is open for public consultation.

Following Cabinet approval, NZ's fourth Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan 2023-2024 is now published for public comment (https://ogp.org.nz/new-zealands-plan/fourth-national-action-plan/). This Plan further advances the OGP goals of strengthening democracy and building public trust in government. The Plan has been developed following significant engagement between government agencies and civil society groups, and through public workshops in 2021-22.

Feedback is required by 5pm 12 December 2022. Any feedback will be considered before finalising the Plan, with any minor changes made by the Minister for the Public Service. The finalised Plan will published on this OGPNZ web page by the end of 2022.

You can find out more about the OGP, New Zealand’s involvement, and previous National Action Plans on the resources page or OGPNZ website. The OGP is led by Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission on behalf of the Government.
