Building Relationship/Trust w/ the Public from anonymous

PSC recently created a post on me which was shared on their Facebook and Linkedin page. One of the comments read:

 

“ …Māori have been disadvantaged since Europeans [came] here and nothings changed. Nothing will change, it is designed that way”.

 

This comment made me think about what we are doing in the public service to build trust with members of the public – especially those that have not had a positive experience with the public sector historically. It also made me question what services/tools exist to address intergenerational trauma that was caused by systemic discrimination/state legitimised discrimination experienced by the current and previous generations.
