About the dialogue

The State Services Commission have commissioned engage2 to raise awareness about the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and invite New Zealanders to participate in the development of the National Action Plan (NAP).

We have designed an engagement process to encourage people interested in the open government principles to comment on the proposed background and vision sections of the NAP, to suggest actions and to work with government officials to co-create recommendations for government to consider for inclusion in New Zealand’s second National Action Plan.

The project is progressing through four stages, which are shown in the timeline, here.

This Dialogue lets you provide input into stage 3, by suggesting actions the government could take. Other people will be able to see and respond to your input, and you can see and comment on other people’s ideas as well.  We ask you to be thoughtful and fair in these discussions.  This site will remain live for input until 24 August 2016. Everyone who suggests an action can then attend the co-creation workshop in Wellington from 9.00am to 4.00pm on Friday 26 August 2016.  For more information about the project visit the project website: http://engage2.co.nz/ogpnz/
